Kamila Ferreira publishes works on sexual exploitation

Kamila Ferreira, a writer and survivor of three decades of sexual exploitation, is working on a new book. Her previous work, ‘España, la Tailandia europea’ (2024), addressed the systemic violence within the prostitution industry. Her upcoming publication is expected to focus on Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, specifically highlighting the controversial environment of Calle Molino de Viento.

Ferreira describes the prostitution system as a parallel world built on machismo, racism, and economic vulnerability. She notes that many victims enter the industry as children or are trapped due to a lack of legal documentation and violent backgrounds.
