Kamila Magálová mourns son’s death and reveals past suicidal thoughts

Slovak actress Kamila Magálová’s son Martin died two years ago after a horse‑polo accident in Italy. He fell from his horse, suffered internal injuries and later succumbed in a Siena hospital. Magálová has spoken publicly about the loss, saying it is “the greatest tragedy” she has ever faced. In a recent interview she disclosed that the grief drove her to consider suicide, recalling thoughts of jumping from her 18‑floor apartment, but she now seeks daily distractions and focuses on caring for her two daughters and seven grandchildren. She urged that “mothers should not bury their children,” emphasizing the lasting pain of losing a child.

Magálová continues to cope by staying close to family, supporting her daughters, and finding activities that keep her mind occupied, while acknowledging the ongoing emotional impact of her son’s death.
