Kamo State film Starlomo grosses ₦92.7 million at Nigerian box office

The debut cinema production Starlomo, starring Akinyoola Ayoola (known as Kamo State), has grossed ₦92.7 million at the Nigerian box office. The milestone was announced by distributor FilmOne Entertainment.

Directed by Kayode Kasum, the drama follows a young man named Ayotide who attempts to reclaim his family’s musical legacy after the murder of his parents. The film premiered in Lagos on September 20, 2026, before expanding to cinemas nationwide on September 25.

This project marks a significant career transition for Kamo State, moving from social media comedy skits to producing a major feature film. The production was co-produced by Ayoola alongside Muyiwa Idowu and Barbara Babarinsa.
