Kampa Park revitalization to proceed following ÚOHS decision
The revitalization of Kampa Park in Prague can proceed following a decision by the Office for the Protection of Competition (ÚOHS). The authority upheld the procurement process conducted by the Prague 1 municipal district, dismissing challenges to the selection of the winner.
The contract was awarded to the Konsorcium park KAMPA for a bid of 62.8 million CZK including VAT. The project, which has been discussed in various forms since the late 1990s, faced several delays, including a canceled tender last year and a subsequent legal review that postponed the timeline by several months.
Local officials stated that the project will focus on renewing paths while maintaining the park's fundamental character and layout. The municipal district will now finalize the contract and establish a construction schedule designed to minimize disruption to residents and visitors.
