Kampala to host agroecological expo and East African youth summit

Kampala will host two significant regional events focused on economic and social development. Participatory Ecological Land Use Management (PELUM) Uganda is organizing the 5th Agroecological Market Systems Expo (AMASE) at Hotel Africana. The event aims to connect farmers, agribusinesses, and financial institutions to promote sustainable food systems, technology adoption, and market access for agroecological enterprises.

Additionally, the Embrace East Africa initiative will hold a youth-focused event on November 7 at Kitante Primary School. Under the theme “Unity, Integration and Prosperity,” the gathering includes a youth march from Kampala City Hall and a summit designed to encourage regional cooperation and leadership among East African youth. The event features participation from regional leaders, including the Minister of East African Affairs.
