Kampala to host Vibe Republic music festival in December 2026

The Vibe Republic music festival is scheduled to take place on Friday, December 11, 2026, at the Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala, Uganda. The event aims to promote regional tourism and cultural exchange by bringing together audiences from Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and other parts of East Africa.

The concert features a fusion of dancehall and Amapiano, headlined by Jamaican artist Konshens and South African DJ Maphorisa. Local Ugandan talent will also perform alongside these international acts to provide a distinct regional identity to the event.

Presented by Explore Uganda, Talent Africa Group, and Swangz Avenue, the festival is designed as a music-led tourism initiative. It seeks to highlight Uganda’s hospitality, culture, and beauty while providing a platform for homegrown artists to perform on a major stage.
