Kampung Adat Urug receives 18-hectare communal land certificate

The ATR/BPN Bogor 1 office has issued communal land certificates covering 18 hectares for the Kampung Adat Urug indigenous community in Kiara Pandak Village, Sukajaya District, Bogor Regency.

This certification provides legal certainty for land that has been managed by the community for generations. According to Wendi Isnawan, Head of ATR/BPN Bogor 1, the measure aims to protect indigenous rights and encourage environmental preservation, as these communities often live in harmony with nature. The land is also significant for protecting cultural heritage, agricultural areas, and managing potential disaster-prone zones in the hilly geography of the region.
