Kamran Dhariwal signs two‑year contract extension with Gloucestershire

Twenty‑one‑year‑old Kamran Dhariwal, a medical student at the University of Bristol, has agreed a new two‑year deal with Gloucestershire County Cricket Club. The contract follows his professional debut on 22 May 2026 and a series of match‑winning performances in the Vitality Blast, including a 13‑ball, 70‑run half‑century against Worcestershire Rapids that set the record for the fastest domestic T20 fifty by elapsed time in England.

Gloucestershire’s Director of Cricket Jon Lewis described Dhariwal as an "exceptionally promising talent" and praised his ability to balance elite sport with university studies. The extension secures Dhariwal’s services through 2028 and is expected to aid the club’s push for further success in both T20 and List‑A competitions.
