Kamëz police vehicle collision leaves two officers injured
Two police officers were injured in a vehicle collision in Kamëz, Albania. According to the Tirana Police Directorate, the officers were conducting a planned patrol when their vehicle was struck by another car.
The accident involved a 26-year-old driver, identified by the initials R. T., who was traveling from the center of Kamëz toward Berisha Road. Authorities suspect the driver lost control of the vehicle, leading to the collision. The two injured officers were transported to a hospital and are reported to be in non-life-threatening condition.
The Tirana Police Directorate issued a statement to clarify that the collision did not occur during a high-speed pursuit, contrary to some media reports. The driver, R. T., was not injured and has been taken to the police station for questioning as investigators work to determine the full circumstances of the incident.
