Kana Morimoto defeats Yu Yau Pui to pursue ONE title rematch

Japanese kickboxing veteran Kana Morimoto improved her record to 25-7 following a unanimous decision victory over Hong Kong’s Yu Yau Pui at ONE Fight Night 46. The atomweight kickboxing bout took place on August 14 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Following the win, Morimoto outlined a strategic path toward a rematch with ONE Women’s Atomweight Kickboxing World Champion Phetjeeja. To secure another title shot, Morimoto intends to avenge previous losses against fighters Vero and Antonia Prifti. Additionally, Morimoto expressed interest in a Muay Thai crossover match against champion Allycia Hellen Rodrigues, noting the challenge of transitioning to the smaller four-ounce gloves used in the discipline.

Morimoto has expressed a desire to compete at ONE SAMURAI 4, scheduled for October 17 at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, to fight on her home soil.
