Kana Sato to debut at ART TAIPEI 2026 via artkake

Artist management company artkake will make its debut at the international art fair ART TAIPEI 2026, held in Taipei, Taiwan, from October 30 to November 2, 2026. The company will present a solo exhibition by Japanese painter Kana Sato.

Sato, a Nagoya-based artist, utilizes traditional Nihonga materials and techniques to express a worldview influenced by Western painting. Her work focuses on the theme of “utopia,” depicting quiet, personal sanctuaries through motifs of nature and animals. For this exhibition, Sato will present a collection of works, including new pieces, centered on the concept of “equidistant power” (tokyorikyoku)—a sensibility regarding the distance between oneself and the world.

ART TAIPEI 2026, organized by the Taiwan Art Gallery Association, will feature 127 galleries from Taiwan and abroad under the theme “Symbiosis.” The event aims to explore the relationship between humans and technology in an increasingly digital age.
