Kananga girls receive vocational kits for socio-professional reintegration
In Kananga, 150 girls have received socio-professional reintegration kits following three months of training in fields such as pastry, sewing, soap making, and aesthetics. The kits, which include sewing machines, fabrics, flour, sugar, and hairdressing equipment, were distributed by Vice-Governor Job Kuyindama Kandende.
According to Dr. Mariame Sylla, Deputy Representative of UNICEF in the DRC, the initiative is a donation from UNICEF facilitated through CARITAS and the Femme Acacias NGO. The goal is to enable the recipients to create income-generating activities and contribute to their community's development. The provincial government has expressed its commitment to coordinating with partners to ensure these efforts lead to sustainable results for the province's youth.
