Kanasín woman found dead in Encinos residential area

A woman, approximately 33 years old, was found dead in her home in the Encinos residential area of Kanasín, Yucatán. The discovery was made by her two children, who were returning from middle school when they found her unconscious inside the residence.

Local police and paramedics arrived at the scene on Calle 23-J and 2-C, but were unable to revive her. Authorities from the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) and the State Investigation Police (PEI) cordoned off the area to process the scene and collect evidence. The body was transported to the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo) for an autopsy to determine the official cause of death. The circumstances surrounding the death remain under investigation.
