Kanaya Whu, vocalist of MK9, passes away from cancer
Kanaya Whu, the vocalist of the Sundanese music group MK9 (also known as Emka 9), has passed away at Hasan Sadikin Hospital in Bandung after battling cancer.
West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi announced the news via social media, expressing deep condolences for the singer. Mulyadi, who formed the musical group, noted that Kanaya was known for her melodic voice and her performances of Sundanese songs, including at official provincial events.
Kanaya Whu is scheduled to be buried in her birthplace in Tasikmalaya Regency.
