Director Kane Parsons has fueled speculation regarding a potential film adaptation of the video game ‘Portal’ after posting photos of a visit to Valve’s headquarters on Instagram. This marks his second visit to the company this year, following a previous trip in June.

Parsons, who gained significant acclaim for his debut film ‘Backrooms’—which grossed approximately $393 million on a $10 million budget—has previously identified a ‘Portal’ film as a dream project. He has also noted the game's influence on his creative work.

While fans are hopeful for a collaboration, a previous film project involving JJ Abrams and his production company, Bad Robot, was announced in 2013 but has seen no significant progress since. It remains unclear if Valve will pursue a new direction with Parsons.
