Kang-In Lee set to join Atletico Madrid from PSG

South Korean midfielder Kang-In Lee, who has struggled for regular playing time at Paris Saint‑Gesaux, is close to completing a move to Spanish side Atletico Madrid. The clubs have reportedly agreed on a fee of €35 million plus €5 million in bonuses, totalling €40 million. Atletico’s medical director José María Villalón travelled to South Korea and performed Lee’s medical examination there, confirming the deal is imminent. Lee is currently on vacation until 18 July and is expected to report to Madrid shortly after his holiday.

The transfer follows earlier interest from Atletico during the previous summer and winter windows, and comes after Lee’s participation with South Korea in the World Cup group stage.
