Kangana Ranaut backs Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s T20 debut, hopes he outshines Sachin and Virat
Actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut congratulated 15‑year‑old cricketer Vaibhav Sooryavanshi on his selection to the Indian T20I squad. Speaking at a media event in Mumbai while promoting her film “Bharat Bhagya Vidhata,” she said she wishes him the best and hopes he will perform better than legends Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli, adding that she expects him to achieve major milestones such as a World Cup win.
Sooryavanshi, a fast‑bowling talent from Samastipur, Bihar, is also slated to play in the upcoming T20 series against Ireland and England and has been named in India’s squad for the 2026 Asian Games. His debut could come in the Ireland series on 26 June.
Ranaut’s comments went viral on social media, reflecting both political and entertainment interest in the youngster’s cricketing future.
