Kangana Ranaut joins Gen Z vs millennials debate

Actress Kangana Ranaut has weighed in on the generational debate between Gen Z and millennials via social media. Sharing a clip from ‘The Exchange’, Ranaut highlighted a discussion involving social psychologist Jonathan Haidt and Oli Dugmore regarding the impact of digital culture and political experiences on different age groups.

In the video, Haidt discussed how the political landscape during a person’s formative years, specifically between ages 16 and 24, shapes their lifelong outlook. He described millennials as a unique generation that experienced the period before the widespread influence of social media and noted that intelligence levels were rising through the millennial era. Ranaut shared the clip on her Instagram stories with a humorous remark, stating, “Even though Gen Z is the flavour of the season, but according to surveys, millennials remain the most intelligent generation ever.”

This follows Ranaut’s recent efforts to clarify previous comments made during a student protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. She had previously addressed claims that she mischaracterized the youth of the country, asserting that her remarks were specifically directed at the group present at the protest rather than the entire Gen Z population.
