Ranaut, who defended her roots in a “renowned Rajput zamindar family,” referred to Pannu as a “sasti copy” and criticized her upcoming film. Although Ranaut later deleted the posts, the exchange prompted Pannu to share a cryptic social media post stating, “Hence proved.”

The rivalry dates back to 2019, involving previous accusations of being a “cheap copy” during the industry's nepotism debates.
