Lock Upp Season 2: Kangana Ranaut returns as ‘Janta Ki Awaaz’ amid Shreya Kalra feud

Actress‑politician Kangana Ranaut will make a special appearance on Netflix’s reality series Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, entering the house as “Janta Ki Awaaz” during the first termination round. She will not host the season; hosts Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh will run the show. Ranaut said, “This show has always been about owning your truth… every choice has a price.” The season features 15 contestants, including actors Shivangi Joshi, Harshad Chopda, and newcomer Shreya Kalra.

During the second episode, contestant Shreya Kalra sparked controversy by claiming that Shivangi Joshi’s recent show was a “flop” and that Harshad Chopda is “arrogant” and unwanted by women. Kalra also asserted she is “bigger” than both rivals. Fans quickly condemned the remarks, defending Joshi and Chopda and accusing Kalra of seeking attention. Fellow contestant Rajiv Adatia publicly rebuked Kalra, calling her behavior “bullying” and “crass.”

A separate dispute arose when Kalra revealed that fellow contestant Akanksha Chamola, who is separating from husband Gaurav Khanna, is bisexual. The disclosure prompted debate over personal secrets being used as gameplay. The show’s drama continues to dominate social‑media discussion as the season progresses.
