Kangin makes first public appearance in South Korea since leaving Super Junior

Former Super Junior member Kangin made his first public appearance in South Korea since leaving the group in July 2019. Attending Seoul Fashion Week, the singer appeared visibly nervous and hesitant before photographers and fans.

Kangin’s hiatus followed several controversies in 2009, including a bar altercation in Gangnam and a drunk driving accident. Since his departure from the group, he has largely avoided official entertainment activities in South Korea, focusing instead on international fan meetings and a YouTube channel launched in 2023.

His recent activities include a fan meeting tour across countries such as the Philippines, Vietnam, Mexico, Peru, and Chile. He is also marking a musical return with the digital single ‘LOVE IS PAIN’, scheduled for release in April 2026.
