Kangwon Land and Korea Racing Authority Boost Gambling Addiction Prevention

Kangwon Land and the Korea Racing Authority held a two‑day exchange at Kangwon Land’s Heartful Center and the Yuh‑Can Center in Yeongwol from 22–23 September. Participants shared expertise on gambling‑addiction prevention and rehabilitation, reviewing AI‑based prevention systems and counseling practices. The visit included hands‑on experience of Kangwon Land’s treatment facilities, such as a wood‑burning program and forest‑bathing therapy provided by the Yeongwol Forest Healing Foundation.

Both organisations agreed to co‑host a forum in September to present progress on AI‑driven prevention tools and to promote further cooperation with other relevant agencies. Kim Kyung‑hoon, director of the Heartful Center, emphasized that joint efforts among gambling‑industry bodies are essential for effective, professional addiction‑prevention programs and for fostering a healthy leisure culture in South Korea.
