Tamil Nadu opposition leaders attack TVK government over law and order

Opposition leaders in Tamil Nadu, including DMK President M.K. Stalin and AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami, have launched coordinated criticisms against the ruling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) government led by Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay.

DMK leaders, including M.K. Stalin and MP Kanimozhi, have accused the administration of failing to maintain law and order, citing a rise in murders, robberies, sexual assaults, and the disappearance of children. Stalin specifically alleged that the state is facing a competition between drug proliferation and sexual crimes, suggesting the government might not last six months.

AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami and AMMK General Secretary TTV Dhinakaran also criticized the government, with Dhinakaran highlighting the soaring prices of essential commodities like rice and salt as a major threat to the administration's stability. The opposition has called for unity to challenge the current rule, citing public disillusionment and administrative lapses.
