Kanimozhi criticizes TVK government over Pattinapakkam Secretariat plan

DMK MP Kanimozhi has accused the TVK government of “anarchic actions,” citing law-and-order concerns and controversial administrative decisions in Tamil Nadu.

A primary point of contention is the government's proposal to construct a new Secretariat at Pattinapakkam, estimated to cost Rs 1,200 crore. This plan has faced opposition from fishermen across more than 10 hamlets in the area, who have demanded the withdrawal of the order and threatened statewide protests if the decision is not revoked by September 21.

Kanimozhi also alleged that a recent raid at the residence of former Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi was an attempt to divert public attention from the reality of a recent foreign trip taken by Chief Minister Vijay to the UK, which was intended to attract investments.
