Kanizsai Wine and Dödölle Festival begins in Nagykanizsa

The 20th Kanizsai Wine and Dödölle Festival has commenced in Nagykanizsa. The two-day event, held around Erzsébet Square, features a variety of musical performances, folk dances, and gastronomic offerings.

Due to weather conditions, some activities, including the folk song circles, were hosted at the Medgyaszay House. The program includes performances by local groups as well as notable ensembles such as Csík zenekar and Besh O Drom. Additionally, a wine competition was held featuring 24 samples from local and regional winemakers, with organizers noting high quality among the white wine entries.
