Kanmido Kamakura launches Monchhichi collaboration sweets

Kanmido Kamakura, a specialist in warabi mochi, has announced the second installment of its collaboration with the character Monchhichi. The “Monchhichi Collaboration Paulownia Box Ver. 2” will be available for a limited time from September 18 to December 20, 2026, at all Kanmido Kamakura locations.

The set includes 10 pieces of Kamakura warabi mochi and is priced at 1,950 yen (including tax). The confectionery featured in the box has previously won a gold award at the Japan Food Selection. The product is designed to combine the charm of the Monchhichi character with the traditional elegance of a paulownia wood box, aiming to introduce authentic Japanese sweets to a broader audience.

The warabi mochi is made using rare domestic bracken starch and prepared using traditional hand-kneading techniques. It is served with deep-roasted kinako and a homemade black honey made from Okinawa brown sugar without the addition of corn syrup or molasses.
