Kano Governor Yusuf mediates reconciliation between APC leaders

Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has facilitated a reconciliation meeting in Abuja between Deputy Senate President Senator Barau I. Jibrin and House Committee on Appropriations Chairman Hon. Abubakar Kabir Bichi. The two-hour meeting aimed to resolve differences and strengthen unity within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State.

Governor Yusuf urged party leaders and their supporters to resolve grievances to ensure the collective success of the APC, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the state government ahead of the 2027 elections. He emphasized that internal disagreements should not undermine party stability.

This effort follows reported political tensions in the Kano North Senatorial District, where a rift between Deputy Governor Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo and Senator Barau Jibrin has caused concern. APC leadership has warned against factionalism and anti-party activities, stating that members engaging in sabotage could face disciplinary measures, including suspension or expulsion.
