The Ministry responsible for Local Government will serve as the council’s secretariat. The council is tasked with developing economic programs and coordinating activities between the state and local government areas to ensure sustainable growth.

In a separate motion, the Assembly called on the Kano State Government to integrate computer science as a core subject in primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions.
