Kano State Fire Service rescues man and cow from well

The Kano State Fire Service successfully rescued a 40-year-old man, Badamasi Ibrahim, and his five-year-old cow after both became trapped in an old well in Sabon Ruwa, located in the Makoda Local Government Area.

The incident occurred on a Wednesday afternoon following a distress call reported to the Danbatta Fire Station. Ibrahim had entered the well in an attempt to save his cow, but he subsequently became trapped and experienced difficulty breathing. Firefighters mobilized to the scene and were able to bring both the man and the animal out alive.

Following the rescue, the fire service spokesperson, Saminu Abdullahi, issued a warning to residents against attempting to enter or dive into wells during rescue efforts, noting the significant danger such actions pose to human life.
