Kano State sets passport deadline for 2027 Hajj pilgrims

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has issued a directive requiring all registered intending pilgrims for the 2027 Hajj exercise to submit their valid international passports by August 25, 2026.

Director-General Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle stated that the deadline is necessary to ensure timely documentation and enrollment before the anticipated closure of the Saudi Arabian Hajj registration server at the end of August. The Board warned that pilgrims failing to meet this deadline risk losing their allocated Hajj seats and that the Board will not be held responsible for consequences resulting from non-compliance.
