Kano State task force gains support for anti-drug operations

The Kano State Multi-Agency Task Force on Drug Abuse and Other Related Crimes, led by Barrister Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado, has gained widespread support across the state. Under the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, the task force has intensified its efforts to combat drug peddling and illicit trafficking through raids, arrests, and community sensitization programs in various Local Government Areas.

The initiative has received endorsements from diverse sectors, including Islamic clerics and civil society groups. Shaykh Ibrahim Khalil, Chairman of the Council of Ulama of Nigeria (Kano State Branch), has called on citizens to support the task force to protect the future of the youth, setting aside political differences to advocate for the mission.
