Kano students praise NELFUND and CNG bus deployment

Students in Kano State have expressed support for recent federal government initiatives, specifically the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) and the deployment of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered buses on campuses.

Student leaders from institutions including Bayero University, Kano, and Yusuf Maitama Sule University noted that NELFUND has provided indigent students with access to higher education by mitigating the risk of being forced out of school due to unpaid fees. Additionally, the introduction of CNG buses under the Presidential Initiative on CNG and Electric Vehicles has reportedly reduced daily commuting costs for students facing economic challenges following the removal of fuel subsidies.
