Kanom Ueno places seventh in women's 100m at Japan Intercollegiate Championships
Kanom Ueno, a third-year student at Kansai Welfare University, placed seventh in the women's 100-meter sprint at the Japan Intercollegiate Athletics Championships held at Nissan Stadium from September 5–7. Ueno finished with a time of 12.01 seconds.
This achievement marks the first time a member of her university's track and field team has placed in a track event at the championships. Ueno, who recently set a personal best of 11.70 seconds in July, expressed her intention to improve her start and continue training to compete in the upcoming National Sports Festival in Aomori.
