Kanpur: Man killed after being dragged 1.5 km on car roof

A 37-year-old salesman, Biru Singh Bhadauria, died in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, following a violent assault and pursuit. According to family members and police reports, the victim was intercepted by a group of men while returning from a Dussehra fair on Tuesday night.

The attackers allegedly assaulted Bhadauria, hit him with a vehicle, and then placed him on the car's roof with his hands trapped between the front windows. The vehicle was driven at high speed for approximately 1.5 km before the victim was thrown onto the road and run over by the same car.

Police have registered a murder case following a complaint by the victim's father, Ram Shankar Singh, citing an old dispute with the suspects. Authorities have arrested two individuals, identified as Rajveer and Pintu, while a search continues for a third suspect, Mewalal. Investigators have recovered the vehicle used in the incident and are reviewing CCTV footage from over a dozen cameras.
