India reports multiple fatal stabbings and robbery-related murders

Several violent incidents and legal developments have been reported across various Indian regions.

In Delhi, a 28-year-old woman was allegedly stabbed to death by her husband at a hotel in the Lahori Gate area following a family dispute. The husband, who is from Rajasthan, reportedly consumed poison in a suicide attempt and is receiving hospital treatment.

In Telangana’s Rajanna Sircilla district, a man named Pallapu Suresh allegedly stabbed his 28-year-old wife, Gandikota Jyothi, to death during a domestic dispute. The victim's mother, Yellamma, was also injured while attempting to intervene and is receiving medical care.

In Uttar Pradesh, a court in Bareilly sentenced Said Khan to life imprisonment for the 2024 murder of his brother-in-law, Zakir Ahmed. The killing was reportedly motivated by resentment over his sister’s love marriage. Additionally, in Kanpur, police are investigating the murder of 58-year-old Uma Kushwaha during a robbery. Investigators noted a lack of forced entry, suggesting the perpetrator may have had prior knowledge of the residence and the location of valuables.
