Kansas City Chiefs face injury concerns and roster changes ahead of Week 7
The Kansas City Chiefs are managing several roster and injury updates as they prepare for a Week 7 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. Wide receiver Rashee Rice is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury; while head coach Andy Reid noted Rice is “getting better by the day,” he did not participate in Wednesday's practice, leaving his availability for Sunday night uncertain.
On the defensive side, linebacker Cooper McDonald has been designated to return from injured reserve following a knee injury sustained in Week 1. To facilitate his return, the team has waived linebacker Cam Jones.
Additionally, the team is monitoring wide receiver depth following injuries to Tyquan Thornton and potential roster shifts involving Marquise “Hollywood” Brown and the looming suspension of Tyreek Hill. The upcoming game against Seattle follows a 5-0 start for the Chiefs.
