Kansas City Chiefs face mounting injury concerns in training camp

The Kansas City Chiefs are facing an increasing number of injuries during training camp. The team's offensive line depth is further strained as Chu Godrick remains sidelined with an ankle sprain.

On the defensive side, rookie safety DeShon Singleton left practice early due to a hamstring issue, and linebacker Jack Cochrane sustained a knee injury, though he was able to finish the session.

Additionally, Pro Bowl offensive lineman Trey Smith continues to recover from a hip ailment that has kept him out for over a week. While Reid expressed optimism regarding Smith's progress, the veteran is unlikely to play in the upcoming preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His absence has forced the coaching staff to shuffle the offensive line rotation, utilizing players like Kahlil Benson and Jaylon Moore to gain positional versatility.
