Kansas City Chiefs remain undefeated after 22-6 win over Chargers
The Kansas City Chiefs improved to a 5-0 record following a 22-6 victory against the Los Angeles Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium. Despite the win, the offense faced challenges in short-yardage situations, a point noted by quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Running back Kenneth Walker III led the ground game with 122 yards and two touchdowns. The Chiefs' depleted wide receiver corps also contributed, with Xavier Worthy recording seven receptions for 72 yards to help compensate for injuries to Rashee Rice and Tyquan Thornton.
On the defensive side, the team maintained its dominance, though the game was marked by a heated sideline confrontation between defensive tackle Chris Jones and defensive line coach Joe Cullen. The two were seen in an intense shouting match during the second quarter.
Ahead of their upcoming matchup against the Seattle Seahawks, the Chiefs made roster adjustments, including signing linebacker Aiden Fisher to the practice squad and parting ways with running back Nate Carter.
