Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jack Cochrane injured during practice
Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jack Cochrane exited Monday’s training camp practice early after sustaining a right knee injury. Cochrane, a four-year veteran and special-teams captain, was carted off the field by team trainers. Head coach Andy Reid confirmed the injury but did not immediately provide details regarding the severity, potential MRI results, or a timeline for his return.
Cochrane’s injury adds to a growing list of ailments within the Chiefs' linebacker unit during preseason training. Other reported injuries from the session include a hamstring strain for an unnamed linebacker, a knee injury for Matt Waletzko, and dehydration for Esa Pole.
The Chiefs are scheduled to face the Los Angeles Rams in a preseason matchup at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.
