Kansas City Chiefs players and families engage in community outreach

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has engaged in several community and personal gestures ahead of the 2026 NFL season. Mahomes sent a private message of support to team reporter Tucker Franklin following the unexpected death of Franklin’s father, Doug Franklin. Franklin shared the exchange on social media, noting that the private outreach meant “more than you’ll know.”

Additionally, Randi Mahomes, mother of Patrick Mahomes, hosted a “Mahomes and Mimosas” luncheon at The Truitt boutique hotel in Kansas City. The event, which included Donna Kelce, mother of Travis Kelce, aimed to foster connections among the mothers of Chiefs players to create a support “squad” for the upcoming season. The gathering was sponsored by Community America Credit Union, an organization for which Mahomes has served as an ambassador since 2019.
