Kansas City Chiefs sign linebacker Cam Jones to three-year deal

The Kansas City Chiefs have signed linebacker Cam Jones to a three-year contract, reuniting him with the team where he began his NFL career. Jones, a former undrafted free agent for the Chiefs, previously played for the New York Jets and spent time with the New York Giants during the 2025 offseason before being released.

Jones brings familiarity with defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo’s system, having appeared in four postseason contests, including Super Bowl LVIII, during his previous stints in Kansas City. While the Chiefs already have a core linebacker group featuring Nick Bolton, Drue Tranquill, and Cole Christiansen, Jones is expected to provide depth and contribute significantly to special teams units.

The signing coincides with the release of rookie defensive end Anthony Dunn.
