Kansas City community events scheduled for August

The Northeast Chamber of Commerce and local organizations have announced several community events in the Kansas City area. Upcoming activities include a Coffee, Culture & Conversation event at Eleos Coffee House on August 13, and a Back to School Party at Victory Temple Life Center on August 14, which will provide free school supplies, snacks, and games.

On August 15, the Northeast Chamber of Commerce will host a Trades & Contractors Expo to connect local tradespeople with residents regarding construction projects. The 816 Day Celebration is scheduled for August 16, featuring live entertainment and food specials at various locations, including the Power & Light District and the City Market.

Other scheduled programs include an Art Camp for children ages 5 to 12 at the North-East Branch Library on August 20, and a Summer Dusk Concert featuring Lorna Ray at The Colonnade at Concourse Park on August 21.
