Kansas City Current prepare for Bay FC after victory over Denver Summit

The Kansas City Current are preparing to host Bay FC following a significant 4-1 victory over the Denver Summit. In the win against Denver, Temwa Chawinga scored a key goal that helped extend the Current's home unbeaten streak to 30 regular-season games and moved the team back into playoff contention.

Despite recent offensive success, the Current face defensive challenges compared to their 2025 season. Last year, the team conceded only 13 goals in 26 matches, whereas they have conceded 37 goals in 26 games this season. The upcoming match against Bay FC will also mark the return of Claire Hutton to Kansas City, a former key member of the team's defensive unit.
