Kansas City hosts various community festivals and culinary events

Kansas City is hosting several community events and celebrations this month. The Kansas City Renaissance Festival has entered its 50th season, running on weekends through October 12.

In the culinary sector, Jeffrey Workman of Green Dirt on Oak has been selected for the James Beard Foundation’s 31st Chef Bootcamp for Policy and Change. Additionally, several local restaurants, including Butter KC Catering, Jerusalem Cafe, Ruby Jean’s Juicery, and The Russell on Main, are participating in For the Love Restaurant Week to benefit the University Health Foundation.

Other local activities include the Lawrence Cocktail Trail, which supports the Hospitality Workers Relief Fund, and an urban farm tour spanning Kansas City, Missouri, and Kansas City, Kansas. Meanwhile, the National WWI Museum and Memorial is preparing for its centennial anniversary in 2026.
