Kansas City Royals defeat Athletics 4-3 on walk-off hit

Bobby Witt Jr. secured a 4-3 walk-off victory for the Kansas City Royals against the Athletics on Tuesday night. Trailing 3-1 entering the ninth inning, the Royals loaded the bases following a catcher's interference call, a single, and a walk.

Pinch-hitter Tyler Tolbert tied the game with a two-run single to left field. Following a lineout by Isaac Collins, Witt drove in the winning run with a two-out single into left. This marked the Royals' sixth walk-off win of the season. Royals pitcher Carlos Duran earned the win after a scoreless ninth inning.

The Athletics had previously taken an early lead via a Tommy White single and extended their advantage in the sixth with an RBI single from Jeff McNeil. Jac Caglianone and Vinnie Pasquantino both recorded two hits for the Royals during the contest.
