Kansas farmers advised on federal farm program enrollment

Kansas farmers have an extended window to select federal farm programs for the 2026 crop year. The enrollment period for these programs is currently open and will run from September 16 through December 11.

K-State economist Robin Reid recommends that producers use current price information and harvest data to evaluate their options between the Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC) and Price Loss Coverage (PLC) programs before making a final decision.
