Kansas Jayhawks land top 2027 NBA Draft prospect Tyran Stokes

Tyran Stokes, a highly touted 6-foot-7 prospect projected as the No. 1 pick in the 2027 NBA Draft, has committed to the Kansas Jayhawks. Stokes chose Kansas over Kentucky, joining a recruiting class that already includes top-five prospect Taylen Kinney.

In addition to high-profile recruiting, the Jayhawks are monitoring the transfer portal to address needs in the frontcourt. Former Michigan State center Jaxon Kohler has emerged as a potential target to bolster the roster. Kohler, a 6-foot-9 stretch big with significant perimeter shooting capabilities, is currently being recruited by Kansas, BYU, and Kentucky.
