Kansas man charged with antisemitic death threats against Ben Shapiro

Korby Aaren Strube, a 29-year-old man from Horton, Kansas, has been arrested in Florida for allegedly making antisemitic death threats against conservative commentator Ben Shapiro. Strube faces 23 counts of making written or electronic threats to kill or inflict bodily harm, as well as counts related to using a communications device to facilitate a felony.

According to court documents and an affidavit, Strube allegedly posted messages on X between July 31 and August 2 that included explicit antisemitic language and references to Israel. The posts reportedly included a countdown—referencing “51 days” and “52 days left”—that investigators believe pointed toward September 21 or 22, coinciding with the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur.

The investigation was initiated after Shapiro’s private security firm, Fortified Risk Group, alerted authorities to the messages. Investigators, including the U.S. Secret Service, traced the social media accounts to Strube using data from X, Google, and Starlink. Strube reportedly admitted to posting the threats during an interview with a Secret Service agent.
