Kansas State defeats Washington State 34-7

Kansas State defeated Washington State 34-7 in their first-ever meeting at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. The Wildcats' offense was led by quarterback Avery Johnson, who threw for 192 yards and three touchdowns, and running back Rodney Fields Jr., who rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown.

Washington State's lone touchdown came via a 47-yard interception return by Jaylen Thomas just before halftime. Despite the defensive score, the Cougars' offense struggled, managing only 101 rushing yards and failing to find rhythm under quarterback Caden Pinnick. The game was also marked by a lightning delay that extended the halftime period by approximately one hour.

With this victory, Kansas State moves to 2-0 on the season, while Washington State falls to 0-2 under head coach Kirby Moore.
