The undefeated Kansas State volleyball team defeated No. 20 Creighton 3-1 on Friday night at D. J. Sokol Arena in Omaha, Nebraska. The Wildcats improved to a 7-0 season record, matching their best start since 2013, while Creighton fell to 5-6.
After losing the first set 15-25, Kansas State responded by winning the next three sets with scores of 25-13, 25-22, and 25-22. Freshman Addison Massey led the Wildcats with 20 kills and 15 digs, marking her first collegiate double-double. Emerson Van Lannen also recorded a double-double with 21 assists and 13 digs, while Cadence Lundren contributed a match-high 10 blocks.
Creighton was led by Trinity Shadd-Ceres with 19 kills and Saige Damrow with 26 digs. Kansas State head coach Jason Mansfield noted the team’s ability to bounce back after a difficult first set against a highly talented opponent.
